The listed building from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries had been standing neglected for years at Mikszáth Kálmán tér, Budapest when the Spanish investor bought it to convert it into a 61 room 4-star hotel by adding a structurally modern new wing. Part of the design team and most of the construction specialists were foreign.
The challenges of the project included coordinating the international team and ensuring the harmony of the listed and newly built parts of the building.
We participated in the process from the design phase, representing the interests of the owner throughout the entire project. We also supported them in the implementation of the utility supply development with short deadlines and giving presentations in forums where we successfully tackled the sensitive issues that were raised.
