At the heart of this real estate project is a 5-level Art Nouveau building in the Jewish quarter of inner Budapest that was built in 1912 and is being used as a hotel.
The interior and the services of the 79-room King’s Hotel were outdated, so the operator decided to renovate and convert the building. The goal of the developer was to ensure that the building could serve twice as many visitors as a modern hostel from 2022.
As a first step, we participated in a survey of market demand and provided support for the identification of project goals and the scheduling of the project.
Providing cost management services we prepared several cost assessments for different scopes during the design development stage and advising on the cost effect of proposed design or Specification changes.
As Project Manager we review all aspects of the co-ordination of final design information and focusing on planning before implementing procurement procedures, then continuously controll and monitor the progress of the comprehensive construction works up to the commissioning and handover.
